Our mission is to protect the public health and the environment by transporting wastewater out of the watershed for proper treatment and disposal.

About the Authority

Serving South Central Delaware County

The Central Delaware County Authority was established by municipalities in the south central part of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, to provide regional wastewater transportation and treatment services.

The Authority operates and maintains a network of trunk sewers, pump stations, and interceptor lines that transport wastewater from member municipalities out of the watershed for proper treatment and disposal — protecting both public health and the environment.

We serve twelve member municipalities through inter-municipal agreements:

  • Edgmont Township
  • Newtown Township
  • Marple Township
  • Springfield Township
  • Ridley Township
  • Upper Providence Township
  • Nether Providence Township
  • Morton Borough
  • Rutledge Borough
  • Swarthmore Borough
  • Prospect Park Borough
